Kansas Systemwide Transfer courses move between public institutions only when the receiving school offers an equivalent course, and according to the Kansas Board of Regents, the receiving institution still decides whether to accept upper-division credit. Newman posts course lists for 20 Kansas community and technical colleges, showing which classes transfer and satisfy Newman Studies Program requirements. The partnership has helped 23 students earn bachelor's degrees so far, with 33 more currently enrolled.

Choosing a major and destination institution early can help students planning a transfer, since a transferred course does not always count toward a specific program; consulting advisers at both the community college and Newman can also support that planning.
